Pricing and Compatibility

DeltaSnap is a native macOS utility built around Apple's restricted APFS snapshot entitlement. The Individual license is a one-time purchase of US$49 that covers every DeltaSnap 1.x release, on all the Macs you and your household use. Business and enterprise licenses are priced by quote to fit the deployment and support requirements of each organization.

Choose a license

Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.

Standard pricing is subject to change for new orders. Promotional discounts may be offered periodically; a license bought at a discount carries the same coverage as one bought at the standard price.

Individual license is issued as an online license and optional offline license on request. For individuals, families, freelancers, and independent professionals. The license may not be purchased, owned, or shared by a company, organization, team, or other legal entity.

Business licenses are quote-based and issued as an offline license over email. Licensing can be tailored to the number of users and Macs in your deployment, along with support, procurement, and customization requirements. Business licenses are owned by and issued to the business or organization rather than to an individual.

What your license includes

DeltaSnap is licensed by major version. A DeltaSnap license includes:

• Every DeltaSnap major release. Features, fixes, and macOS compatibility updates shipped as 1.x are yours at no extra cost, for as long as 1.x is maintained. There is no update window tied to your purchase date and nothing to renew.
• Perpetual use. The license never expires. You can keep running a major release (e.g. 1.x release) for as long as you like on the macOS releases it supports.
• Your household's Macs. One Individual license covers every Mac used by you and the people in your household.

Major versions and maintenance

Each major version of DeltaSnap receives updates for at least 12 months from its release. The window is counted from the release, not from your purchase, so everyone who owns a major version gets the same coverage.

When a maintenance ends, a DeltaSnap version keeps working exactly as it is; it simply stops receiving new builds. If a later macOS release needs changes that only a new major version carries, that version is a paid upgrade.

• The next major version is a half-price upgrade. Owners of any earlier DeltaSnap license can move to a new major version for 50% of its standard price at the time, or stay on the version they own.
• Your snapshots are unaffected by licensing. Snapshots are ordinary APFS snapshots on your volume. Nothing about a license, an update, or a version change alters them.

macOS compatibility

DeltaSnap requires macOS 15 or later and a volume formatted with APFS for snapshot features. APFS snapshots are stored on the source volume, so DeltaSnap complements rather than replaces an independent backup.

macOS compatibility updates released as 1.x are included in your license for the whole maintenance window above.

Trial and activation

The signed and notarized app includes a 30-day local trial. No payment information is required to start it.

Paid licenses are validated once, when you activate them, and never again. There is no periodic check, no grace period to run out, and no way for a lapsed connection to disable a license you paid for. If you would rather DeltaSnap never contact anything, ask us for an offline license. It activates from a block of text we email you, verified entirely on your Mac. You can hold DeltaSnap behind a firewall that blocks it completely and it stays licensed.

Polar is DeltaSnap's merchant of record. Polar securely handles checkout, applicable sales taxes, invoices, and license-key delivery.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds. The 30-day trial exists so that you never need one.

The trial is the complete application. There are no feature limits and no payment details required to start it. Please use it on the Macs you actually intend to run DeltaSnap on, with your real data and your real workflow, and buy a license only once you are satisfied it does what you need.

If something does not work as documented, write to us before you decide DeltaSnap is not for you. Most reports turn out to be something we can fix or explain.

Polar, our merchant of record, processes every transaction, so any refund is issued by Polar under their terms rather than by us directly.

In exceptional circumstances we may agree a partial refund at our discretion. Payment processing and platform fees charged by Polar and their partners are not returned to us, so any such refund is net of those charges.

Where local consumer law gives you a statutory right to cancel or refund a digital purchase, that right applies in full and takes precedence over this policy.
