Activate your license - DeltaSnap Docs

Thanks for purchasing DeltaSnap! Please check your email for your receipt and DeltaSnap license key.

DeltaSnap has two ways to activate. Both unlock the same features. Individual licenses use a self-serve license key, while quote-based Business licenses use an offline license issued directly by us.

Once you have the online or offline license, activate it at DeltaSnap → Settings → Licensing.

Activate with a license key

Use this if your Mac is online. It is the fastest route.

Open Settings → Licensing.
Under Activate, leave the method set to License key.
Paste the key from your purchase email. It begins with DELTA-.
Click Activate.

DeltaSnap contacts the store once to confirm the purchase and activates itself on your Mac. It does not check again later.

To encourage fair usage and prevent abuse of a leaked key, the online license key is allowed maximum 10 activations which an authorized purchaser can reset via the self-service order portal using the email linked to their license.

Activate with an offline license

Use this if the Mac has no network access, if you would rather DeltaSnap never contact anything, or if you hold a Business license.

1. Ask us for one. Individual customers can send their order details to support. For Business licensing, contact us for a quote and we will issue the offline license by email after the quote is accepted.

2. We email you an offline license. It is a block of text that looks like this:

3. Paste it into DeltaSnap. Open Settings → Licensing, switch the method to Offline license, paste the whole block including the BEGIN and END lines, and click Activate. If you saved the license as a file, Open File… loads it for you.

Please keep your offline license key confidential and do not share it with unauthorized users.

Note: offline licenses are emailed manually during business hours. We will set delivery expectations as part of a Business quote; Individual requests may take 24-48 hours.

Move a license to another Mac

Offline licenses work on every Mac covered by your license. Paste the same block on each one. There is nothing to deactivate or transfer.

License keys register each Mac with the store. To move one, open Settings → Licensing on the Mac you are leaving and click Deactivate / Remove Key before activating elsewhere. That frees the registration. If the Mac is broken, lost, or already erased, use the customer portal to deactivate it yourself.
