Pro is a one-time purchase for one Mac, held by an individual or a company; it covers the MacVisor 27 series and shows in the app as MacVisor 27 Pro. Enterprise is billed annually per Mac and adds 24x7 support with an SLA.
All licenses activate online with ScaleNinja's licensing server; there is no offline license. Polar sells the keys. The free trial starts in the app, with no key or checkout: click Start Free Trial or run mvz license trial; see Activate your license. Versions and requirements
Each major macOS release gets a matching MacVisor major release. The first is MacVisor 27, for macOS 27.

Updates and upgrades
A license includes the maintenance updates of its major version. MacVisor 27 is supported until 31 December 2027. A Pro license has no term; an Enterprise license runs for a year and renews.
When the next major macOS brings the next MacVisor, Pro licensees upgrade at a discounted price. Staying on the version you have is always fine.
Activation and checks
MacVisor checks the license with ScaleNinja's licensing server (keys.scaleninja.com) when you start the trial, activate, refresh, deactivate, or move a license; about once a week (whether or not the app is open, and during a trial too); and after a license or trial ends, to look for a renewal. A check that gets no answer is tried again after 5 minutes, then at growing intervals up to every 6 hours. A Mac that cannot reach the licensing server keeps working for 30 days after its last successful check (a limit the server sets); after that, new VMs, cloud images, and other licensed actions pause until it can reach the server again (Settings -> License -> Refresh License). Existing VMs keep running throughout.
Activation is per Mac, and one license covers every macOS account on that Mac. A Pro license, and the trial, covers one Mac; each Enterprise key covers 10. To move a license, deactivate it on the old Mac (Deactivate on This Mac... or mvz license deactivate), or click Move to This Mac on the new one; moves from the new Mac are limited to 3 in 30 days. Polar is MacVisor's merchant of record and handles checkout, taxes, invoices, subscriptions, refunds, key delivery, and your orders in its customer portal.
Your VMs are yours
Licensing gates the application, never your data. When a trial or license ends, .macvisor packages, disks, and snapshots remain ordinary files, and the VMs keep running.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds. The 30-day trial (the complete application, no payment details) exists so that you never need one. Use it on the Macs you intend to run MacVisor on (each Mac gets one trial of its own), with your real workflow, and buy only once you are satisfied.
If something does not work as documented, write to us first; most reports are something we can fix or explain.
Polar processes every transaction, so any refund is issued by Polar under its terms. In exceptional circumstances we may agree a partial refund at our discretion, net of the payment-processing and platform fees that are not returned to us.
Where local consumer law gives you a statutory right to cancel or refund a digital purchase, that right applies in full.
